UK BBQ WEEK 2024
With just over 1 month to go here’s this year’s Themes, we have released them early to give you enough time to plan some lovely cooks. As always, we would love you to share your BBQ creations so please post them on our social media pages.

Saturday 4th – Skewers and Sides
Break out your skewers, spikes, rotisserie, or anything pointy and make something to get the week of with a bang. Also don’t forget the often over looked side dishes. Lets see what your favourites are.
Sunday 5th – Sunday Saver
We are all affected by the Cost of Living crisis. This challenge is to cook a cheap meal using whatever you think. You could use cheaper cuts, sell offs, yellow labels, use your imagination and make a Sunday saver meal. A couple of years ago one of the team cooked three courses for four people for less than £20. Are you creative? Store cupboard ingredients are allowed.
Monday 6th – Meat Free Monday
There’s so many good meat free BBQ dishes. Show us your favourite, or you can check out some vegetarian recipes on our website.
Tuesday 7th – Taco Tuesday
Back again, one of our popular themes. Who doesn’t like Tacos, chicken beef pork or fish. Decisions decisions.
Wednesday 8th – Wakey Bakey Wednesday
Lets see your baking creations. Bread, Cakes, Pastry’s, its up to you and of course we have to mention pies. There are lots of pies being cooked for freestyle bbq competitions can you do better?
Thursday 9th – Throwback Thursday
We have seen so many cooks over the last 8 years, so it you fancy trying something you’ve cooked before cook it again and show us, or have you seen something from our recipe pages that you haven’t got round to trying. Alternatively you could recreate your first bbq (hopefully no raw chicken or burnt hotdogs as we have all improved)
Friday 10th – Freestyle Friday
Freestyle BBQ competitions are becoming more popular in the UK so we had to have a Freestyle Friday. Literally anything goes, its your choice, whether its your favorite cook or just something that you have had an idea for. Get it done and show us.
Saturday 11th – World Cook /Cusine
We know we are celebrating UKBBQWEEK , but people all around the world BBQ and cook over live fire so we would love you to share your worldlwide inspired cooks.. From East, West, North and South its up to you.
Sunday 12th – Sunday Roast
The Classic Sunday Roast. Perhaps you have a slight twist? Whatever you do, we want to see it whether its a full roast dinner or a lighter Sunday lunch or brunch.
As always we’ll be posting some new recipes for you to try but most of all we want you to get outside and have a go. We would also love to see your cooks so please post them on our UKBBQWEEK social media pages.
